This temporary role involves working in outdoor fields, cutting and collecting flower heads for the cosmetic industry.  There is no heavy lifting involve. You will be supplied with cutting equipment. It is your responsibility to wear appropriate footwear and be dressed for the weather.

A position has arisen at our Horncastle office for a bookkeeping and VAT compliance role. Experience is essential. Membership of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers would be an advantage. The role involves:
  • Book-keeping either in house or at clients premises, using Sage50, Xero, Quickbooks or Excel
  • Submitting VAT returns in a timely manner
  • Maintaining clients records
  • Communicating with clients, advising of their quarter end deadlines, requesting additional information, discussing VAT return details etc
  • Liaising with HMRC as required, for example to register, deregister, update client details etc
  • Maintaining work in progress list to ensure VAT department is operating smoothly
  • Assisting accounts team as required to ensure smooth transition between book-keeping and year end accounts
You must have a full clean drivers licence as you will be expected to travel to clients premises.

His/her main responsibility is to provide general administrative and technical support to the department. Managing a portfolio of clients, under the guidance of a manager, to complete basic personal and business tax computations. Undertaking research for senior tax staff to aid the provision of specialist tax advice and planning for clients.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • To prepare Personal, Partnership and Trust tax computations & form P11 D under supervision.
  • To prepare routine personal and Partnership tax returns and assist with the preparation of more complex returns.
  • To perform administrative duties for department as required.
  • To undertake the scanning of documentation to DTC as and when required.
  • To provide research for senior staff undertaking ad hoc tax projects.
