Job Summary:

This is a client facing role, responsibilities include-preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, estate administration including preparation of papers to apply for Grant of Representation and IHT Accounts, Advising on trust-creation and administration, Capital taxation especially Inheritance Tax as well as sundry and other legal queries as required.

Key Responsibility:

JOB SUMMARY:
The manager is responsible for overseeing the personal tax compliance function within the office and administering their own portfolio of individuals, partnerships and trusts. The manager will also assist in the provision of specialist tax advice and planning for clients both within a portfolio of clients and on special projects.  Also to ensure that all staff under his/her control receive necessary job training and support to meet business and personal goals.        
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:   
1.      To manage a portfolio of clients. Working with and answering queries from staff and clients in a timely and accurate manner within agreed limits of responsibility, including tax compliance advice.   
2.      To assist in undertaking ad hoc tax projects/ advisory work either for the existing client portfolio in agreement with the Associate Director or for other clients as appropriate.   
3.      Responsibility for managing all work and billing within a portfolio and ensuring budgets are met.   
4.      Assisting the Associate Director with tax advisory work.    
5.      To provide advice and assistance to individuals within the practice as and when required.    
6.      . To keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and the application of this knowledge to clients affairs.
7.      To identify opportunities when reviewing client affairs and action these as appropriate.  
8.      To develop others within the tax team with their technical ability as well as their general development. 
9.

3.      Must be able to demonstrate effective staff management and communication skills.   
4.      Must be able to demonstrate effective client inter-personal skills including the management of client expectations.   
5.      Should be able to ensure that staff under the manager’s control are supported and assist them to achieve agreed targets in their performance and development.   
6.      Capable of ensuring that all staff within his/her supervision receive effective job training and experience to complement their studies, whilst at the same time meeting work priorities.
