Salary: £7.65 per
hour, no overtime.
We are recruiting for an experienced and
skilled administrator for a busy office within St. Mary’s Church to support our
Ministry team.
The purpose of the role is to manage the day to day running of the office and
facilitate the administrative operations for the Southwolds Partnership group. You
will be working closely with the Vicar, staff team and the Officers of the
church across the Horncastle, Asterby and Hemingby group of parishes. In many cases this
person will be the main contact for arranging weddings, christenings and
booking funerals, but this role also involves other interesting aspects to the
role from updating our Southwolds Group website, creating staff rota, managing
our photocopier and helping to put service booklets together. This position
requires an exceptional degree of professionalism and the ability to work in an
ever changing environment, where multi-tasking, sound decision making,
self-motivation and discretion are essential. We are looking for a friendly and
confident person who can work to their own time line efficiently as you will be
working independently.
ü Strong IT skills,
Word, Excel, Publisher & WordPress
ü Confident in
answering the telephone and dealing with the general public face-to-face
ü Sympathetic when
dealing with people who have recently lost a relative
ü Organised in managing
own work load
ü Experience in updating websites
ü An eye for detail
with excellent written skills, to be able to turn a word document into an order
of service
