Job summary:
The role of the event’s organiser is to manage and deliver
international events for Aura-Soma and their associated teaching Academy. This
includes international conferences and events in Tetford and Hagworthingham,
Lincolnshire.
The second part of the role is to arrange for rental of our
residential teaching academy. This could entail advertising the space in retreat
magazines and managing the diary to ensure the maximum benefit received from
the space.
Key roles and
responsibilities:

Manage the organisation and delivery of paid-for
events both locally and internationally that maximise income and uphold and
represent Aura-Soma’s values for existing customers
·
Manage the organisation of events to attract
customers
·
Ensure adverts and other materials are properly
designed and produced
·
Ensure that colleagues are as fully involved as
appropriate in the planning and delivery of events
·
Agree purpose of event and specific requirements
with appropriate colleagues
·
Source venues and liaise with venue providers on
catering, layout, AV etc
·
Manage the production of resource material,
creating relevant signage, place cards where appropriate
·
Liaise with different nationalities regarding translation
requirements
·
Publicise the events with appropriate audiences
to achieve required attendance level
·
Write event listings for the Aura-Soma website
and web mail outs
·
Ensure all enquires whether confirmed or not are
recorded
·
Carry out other activities as required
Essential:
·
Attention to detail
·
Intermediate level IT skills using Microsoft
Office in Word, Excel & PowerPoint
·
Minimum two years’ experience in events and
marketing
·
Ability to prioritise tasks, keep calm and
maintain high standards under pressure
·
Very strong ability to multi-task and work to
deadlines
·
Self-starting and motivated
·
Excellent interpersonal/diplomacy and
communication skills
·
Excellent written and verbal communication
·
The role will require some travel, evenings,
early mornings and weekends
Desirable
·
Use of InDesign or similar software
·
Experience of working in a small organisation
