Our client is the UK’s leading manufacturer of root
vegetable handling equipment. We are
committed to providing the highest possible quality of equipment and services
to our customers. As part of an exciting
programme of expansion which includes the building of a new state of the art
manufacturing facility which will open in mid-2020, we are seeking an
experienced Quality Manager to design, deliver and maintain a comprehensive
programme of continual improvement which will be implemented throughout the
business.
You will achieve this by reviewing, analysing and evaluating
the company’s current business processes from the initial customer enquiry through
to product realisation, installation and after sales service, working with all relevant
stakeholders to refine, adapt and if necessary rewrite our processes to align
them according to the principles and requirements of continuous improvement as
set out in ISO9001:2015, with total customer satisfaction being the goal. This will result in the production of a
comprehensive QMS, which you will then implement and maintain.

Required skills
-
Proven experience of devising, implementing and
delivering full life cycle ISO9001:2015 quality management systems

Manufacturing engineering experience, preferably
in a fast-moving bespoke environment

Excellent communication skills with the ability
to inspire, positively influence and gain the buy-in of stakeholders at all
levels

Tenacity and high levels of drive
Responsibilities

Devise and establish the company's quality
procedures, standards and specifications

Review customer requirements and make sure they
are met

Set standards for quality across all departments

Make sure that all business processes meet the
required standards set

Set up and maintain controls and documentation
procedures

Monitor performance by gathering relevant data
and produce statistical reports
-
Review existing policies and make suggestions
for changes and improvements and how to implement them

Measure performance and identify any areas of
weakness, recommending and implementing improvements
-
Assess the effectiveness of changes made
-
Use relevant quality tools and make sure
managers and other staff understand how to improve the business

Make sure the company is working as effectively
as possible to keep up with competitors

Train and coach supervisory staff regarding
quality control
