hrs a week,
Hours: 06:00 – 14:00, alternating with
14:00 to 22:00 on a weekly basis
Salary: £17,000
- £19,000 depending on experience
Job Responsibilities
To
carry out quality control checks on incoming raw materials and outgoing finished
products, and quality assurance checks on the factory lines, by agreed
methodology, as directed by the Quality Manager.
•Perform
quality checks, to agreed specifications, in line with customer and legal
tolerances
•Maintain
accurate records of quality checks performed
•Produce
reports for quality checks and input the results into the department IT system
•Undertake
miscellaneous duties, as requested and approved by the Quality Manager
•Investigate
customer complaints
•Monitor
and investigate CAPAs
•Check
that all equipment within the factory environment is maintained to an acceptable
operating standard and all calibrations are maintained
•Assist
with audits and ensuring compliance at all times with QMS systems, rules and
procedures, including external accreditation (ISO 9001) and ensure that
appropriate quality assurance controls are carried out on a regular basis
within the factory environment

Assist the Quality Manager with preparation for factory/site
audits
• Follow
company Health Safety & Environmental procedures
•Report
all accidents and incidents
•Ensure
that relevant risk assessments are consulted for the work being carried out
•Ensure
that the correct Personal Protective Equipment is worn where required
•Scheduling
the tasks and factory checks with the use of effective time management
•Quality
check a large number of finished products and issue factual reports
•Ability
to work individually, or as part of a team, and to provide assistance to others
when required
Qualifications
·
Applicants should have a keen eye for detail, be
efficient and accurate.

Good IT skills (knowledge of Excel is a must)
Desirable
·
Knowledge of the properties and characteristics of
materials, fibre’s and feathers
·
Qualified as an internal auditor
·
Knowledge of HACCP
·
Previous
experience in a QA or QC role - ESSENTIAL
